Events

Since 1930, the Active 20-30 Club of Napa has been a part of Napa Valley. Through events and fundraisers, the Active 20-30 Club of Napa contributes both time and money to projects in support of children in the community. The Club organizes complimentary annual events for children, including a Fishing Derby and an Easter Egg Hunt. Our biggest hands-on project, Project Santa, is an annual gift-giving project for mentally, physically, or financially disadvantaged children. Additionally, each year the Club awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors using proceeds from our fundraisers.

Project Santa

For more than 35 years, the Active 20-30 Club of Napa has been purchasing clothes and toys for local underprivileged children through our Project Santa.  Typically, we supply gifts to over 125 children in Napa County on an annual basis. The Club and Santa Claus visit children with special physical or severe financial need. Each child receives warm weather clothing and a toy purchased specifically for them, and is invited to sit on Santa’s lap for a special photo.

Annual George Carl Kids Fishing Derby – Late Spring annually – May 22, 2022

Another FREE community event, this long-standing tradition began decades ago by George Carl to introduce the sport of fishing to young people. Today, it has blossomed into a day of good–old fashioned family fun. Children ages 3-16 have from 6:00 until noon to catch the biggest fish they can. Club members and other volunteers are on hand to help less experienced fishers. Prizes are given for different age groups and different species of fish and EVERY child goes home with a prize for participating.

Tee Off Fore Kids Golf Tournament – Early Summer annually

2022 Tournament is scheduled for Friday, June 24, 2022! We are so excited to have the ability to safely hold in person fundraisers again this year!

Our summertime golf tournament is our largest fundraiser and draws past and current Active 20-30 members from all around the Bay Area, as well as our great supporters from our community. The day of golf is held at a local Golf Club, and has many prizes to win–including the infamous 57 “instant cellar” bottles of wine raffle.

Battle of the Bags Cornhole Tournament & Fundraiser – Fall annually

The Annual Battle of the Bags Cornhole Tournament gives teams young and old a shot at winning up to $500 in cash while competing with other teams and having a great time! There is an Amateur and Advanced Division, and a round robin style play where each team will get at least 3 games in their grouping. Once all teams have played in their grouping, the top one or two teams will move on to a single elimination bracket until a winner is crowned for that division.
